Preparing for a Career Break
The Department of Surgery at the American University of Beirut (AUB) is seeking three faculty candidates to join the Department:
1. A board-certified / eligible academic urologist to join the Division of Urology at the associate professor or professor levels. The candidate is expected to assume a leadership role in the division and will be overseeing the academic programs, clinical services, administration, growth and the development of the urology division. Candidates preferably must have an established experience in minimally invasive surgery and urologic oncology with prior administrative experience in an academic center.
2. Candidates to join the Division of Neurosurgery with expertise in endovascular neurosurgery and brain tumor surgery at assistant, associate or professor of neurosurgery levels. Candidates must have displayed interest in academic neurosurgery and a well-rounded experience in clinical neurosurgery, with fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery and brain tumor surgery. Candidates must also have a solid research background as well as academic commitment to research and teaching. Candidates must preferably be eligible for or certified by the American board of neurosurgery or its equivalent.
3. Candidates to join the Division of General Surgery with expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery at assistant, associate or professor of surgery levels. Candidates must have displayed interest in academic surgery and a well-rounded experience in general surgery, with fellowship training in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Candidates must also have a solid research background as well as academic commitment to research and teaching. Candidates must preferably be eligible for or certified by the American board of surgery or its equivalent.
