Responsibilities

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Vascular trained Neurologist to join our growing Stroke team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia.

Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a 633-bed Level II Trauma center which provides comprehensive neurological care with 24/7 neurointerventional, neurosurgical, neuroradiology and neurology services. Kennestone has the busiest emergency room in the state of Georgia with over 2,000 patients with stroke presenting to the health system. The facilities include a 23-bed integrated neurological ICU.
• The Neurohospitalist is supported by midlevel providers, a stroke coordinator, research coordinators and an integrated physician core group of neurosurgeons and neurologists.
• The WellStar Research Institute supports physician initiated, NIH and industry sponsored clinical trials.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or equivalent
• Clinical residency in Neurology
• Neurovascular Fellowship
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Georgia Medical License
• DEA License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
