Pediatric Urology of Western New York is seeking a board eligible/board certified pediatric urologist to join the well-established Department of Pediatric Urology with a faculty appointment in the medical school commensurate with experience. We are located at the Oishei Children's Hospital, in Buffalo, New York.
Oishei Children's is a newly constructed 185 inpatient bed facility with over one hundred-year history, originally established as the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. It is a pediatric teaching hospital affiliated with the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Pediatric urology is fully integrated into the urology residency program. There are currently two pediatric urologists, one pediatric nurse practitioner, one urology nurse, a urodynamics laboratory, a voiding dysfunction program, spina bifida clinic, DSD program and a long history of academic engagement and NIH funded research. Ample opportunities exist for academic activity in collaboration with hospital and medical school faculty. We also have a Pediatric Da-Vinci Robot. It is the only tertiary pediatric and high-risk peri/neonatal care facility in the region; designated as a Regional Perinatal Center and an ACS Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. At present, approximately 1000 ambulatory and inpatient urologic cases are performed annually.
Oishei Children’s Hospital is within the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. We are directly linked to the Buffalo General Medical Center, The Gates Vascular Institute as well as the Roswell Park Cancer Center and adjacent to the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SUNY Buffalo).
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated pediatric urologist to provide excellent patient care and enhance our patients and families experience. We offer competitive productivity based and insurance agnostic compensation, comprehensive benefits and ample professional growth opportunities.
Buffalo is a medium sized city on Lake Erie with many of the cultural advantages of a much larger metropolis. These include an internationally regarded art museum, symphony orchestra, NFL and NHL franchises, a burgeoning theater scene, and a reinvigorated downtown. In addition to the lake, skiing, wineries, the Finger Lakes and Canada are nearby. Buffalo also boasts a relatively short commute to work from both urban and suburban locations, while housing is affordable. There are excellent public and private school options available.
