Clinical Cardiologist 3-309-991: The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time general cardiologist. The primary focus will be ambulatory outpatient and inpatient cardiology at an outreach site, however the position will also include a role in the echocardiography (echo) and teaching programs at the main campus. The individual we seek will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching of cardiology fellows, residents and medical students. Expertise in echo, including TEE and stress echo is required. Experience with 3D TEE for structural interventions is preferred. The ideal candidate would also be certified in nuclear cardiology.

Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher on a clinical educator pathway, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  The University of Maryland Health System represents a dynamic, regional cardiovascular network that spans the Baltimore and Washington DC capital region, and ranks among the nations very best in cardiac care. 

This position requires a MD/DO degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine.
