A-Line Staffing Solutions is looking to hire a Mid-Level Nurse Practitioner with a major healthcare company in the Abilene, TX area! Starting ASAP!!

Nurse Practitioner Hours: Hours are 8:00AM-5:00PM, M-F with every 6th weekday on call (5:00 PM-8:00 AM), and on call one weekend/every 6 weeks

Nurse Practitioner Job Summary:

• Case load of around 35 patients seeing no more than 10 patients a day for acute illness, injury or follow-up.
• Typical day is spent with clinics, interdisciplinary team meetings, annual and interval medical assessments.
• On call - About 95% of call is managed by telephone, and rarely requires a return to campus
• When on call for the weekend/holiday, must come in and perform Infirmary rounds (16 bed Infirmary for acute and chronic care) and evaluate any acute illness or injuries among residents, the remainder of the time will be via phone

Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

• Must have current Texas License; DEA; NPI; and CPR/BLS
• Experience in treating those with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities preferred
• Familiar with electronic health record, particularly Cerner
