Physical Therapy physician employment in New York : A skilled nursing facility in New York is actively seeking a compassionate and driven Physical Therapist (PT) to join their growing staff. In this role, the Physical Therapist (PT) ensures exceptional care services are accessible to patients at all times.
*Responsibilities*
The Physical Therapist (PT):
* Conducts assessments and interprets test results in order to establish patient goals and provide quality care
* Develops and modifies care plans to meet the patient's needs in collaboration with attending physicians in accordance with established standards of practice
* Provides physical therapy intervention to help a patient develop or regain physical functioning or adapt to disabilities
* Conducts screening of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention or treatment
* Collaborates with the rehabilitation and medical teams to promote comprehensive care, including directing supervising aides, technicians, and assistants as appropriate
* Advises patients on exercise techniques
* Advises patients and their families about durable medical equipment and discharge planning
* Provides educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote physical health
* Completes accurate and timely documentation of assessment, intervention, patient progress, and discharge planning
* Manages deadlines and changing patient caseloads
* Maintains patient confidentiality and follows safety and health policies and procedure
*Qualifications*
* Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
* Active New York State Physical Therapist license
* New graduates will be considered
* Comfortable with tele-health
* Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
* Ability to multitask
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
*Desired skills*
* Strong documentation skills and experience using EMR
* Prior SNF experience
Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
