Medical Director Physician

Job Description We are seeking a Medical Director Physician to become a part of our team in Albania, a posting that will transform your life! You will coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics or similar organizations. While this international posting is considered a volunteer, a stipend and support package is attached, acknowledging the training and administrative savvy this posting demands.
While living in one of the most beautiful countries in Europe, the CD will direct two divisions of service. Assuring that medical/surgical emergencies are being carefully managed by our talented medical teams.
Providing medical and 'safety' oversight of construction (oil/gas) projects.
Provide oversight of the Medical Emergency Response (MER's) plans for the major projects.
The Country Director will take the operational and functional responsibility of an exceptional staff and infrastructure that boast of some the best doctors/nurses/facilitator/administrators in Europe. The post reports directly to the General Director.
Responsibilities:
Oversee emergency medical surgical response and personnel
Visit construction and oil/gas projects (in Albania and Kosovo) to assure the best possible MER implementation
Provide compelling evidence-based reasons for present/future enrollments.
Work collaboratively with physicians to implement appropriate healthcare programs
Maintain a clean environment to ensure patient safety
Establish and enforce healthcare policies and procedures
Qualifications:
US Board Certified in any of the following: Emergency Medical, Primary Care, or General Surgery.
Experience in a managerial role
Compassionate and Results-oriented administrative style
Strong leadership qualities
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Supporting Package:
Stipend 7,000 usd/month
Private Room/Bath/Kitchen
Travel to and from Tirana covered x 3 trips (3 months off a year)
Food stipend
