HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is a 267-bed top-performing quality hospital with over 200 of the most highly respected and qualified physicians in the area. It is the only acute care hospital in the Tri-County area that offers open heart surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center accredited by the Joint Commission and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. An affiliate of the UAB Cancer Community Network, Fort Walton offers a Cancer Care Center that is accredited by the Commission on Cancer. Fort Walton Beach Medical Center also provides advanced care for critically ill patients, including cardiovascular and trauma injury care, and emergency services, including a main ER, Pediatric ER and Destin ER. Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is in partnership with Twin Cities Hospital, located in Niceville. We are also the parent company of the Rehabilitation Institute, both located in Destin. HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Oncology Unit! This role will work PRN/ Per Diem. Position Summary
This role will provide quality, compassionate nursing care to oncology patients and families utilizing the nursing process. To collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team including, but not limited to: physicians, dietitians, therapists, clergy, social workers, support team, pharmacists, quality and case management, and community agencies. To assist with leading the oncology team by providing: compassion, humor, guidance, mentoring and comradeship to all HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

• Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required
• Basic Oncology course within 90 days of hire required

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

• Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS - AHA Healthcare Provider required upon hire
• Successful completion of the ONS Chemotherapy Course within 18 months of hire

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

• Acute care experience preferred
• Oncology experience preferred
• Chemotherapy experience preferred
