Position description
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN seeks Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for our challenging and dynamic hospitalist position. Mayo Clinic's cardiovascular care center is one of the largest in the United States, with 14 cardiovascular surgeons on staff. Mayo Clinic cardiovascular surgeons perform more than 3,200 cardiovascular surgeries each year using state-of-the-art technology, including minimally invasive techniques. Mayo Clinic's cardiovascular NP/PAs care for all postoperative heart surgery patients including heart and lung transplants, pediatric patients, as well as support a growing VAD and ECMO program.

We are ranked among the Best Hospitals for heart care and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report! NP/PAs on this team work collaboratively with consultants, fellows, nursing, and other staff to provide 24/7 coverage managing the inpatient care of the CV surgical patient, ECMO, heart and lung transplant and VAD patients in the ICU and Progressive Care Units throughout their stay. Shifts are 13 hour day/night rotation with every third weekend and 2 holidays per year. This schedule allows for valued off-time for personal pursuits, development, and life/work balance.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP, ANP or ACNP; or a doctorate prepared Nurse Practitioner; or

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

The NP PA must be eligible for DEA registration.
