HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, located in beautiful Kissimmee, Florida, is seeking a ChargeRegistered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care.This work shift is Full-time Nights and rotating weekends.

What you will do in this role
You will be demonstrating your advanced nursing knowledge, skills, and abilities in this 36-bed PCU unit (also called intermediate care unit or transitional care unit) for ICU downgraded patients who still need a high level of skilled nursing care but are more stable.
This unit has a 4:1 ratio, and is designed for our patients with neurological conditions such as TIA, syncope, seizures, renal failure, sepsis, post-cardiac cath, congestive heart failure (CHF), heart attack, angina, and complex spine injuries/surgeries.
You will be responsible for providing safe and appropriate nursing care within HCA's mission and values statements, the Florida Nurse Practice Act, and carrying out physician's orders.
You will be using wall-mounted computers in the patient's private room for your documentation, and collaborating with our team of patient care technicians and supporting clinical staff to provide the best patient care experience and outcomes.
Qualifications you will need for this role
Licensure
Current active license in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
Certifications
Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Current NIHSS or ASLS certification.
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Nursing diploma or ASN is required; BSN is preferred.
Experience
1-3 years current Charge RN experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
