Position Overview:
The new Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital (SSRRH) is located in the heart of Northern California's famous wine country, just 50 miles north of San Francisco and 30 minutes from the beautiful Pacific Coast. Providing quality health care services to the residents of Sonoma County for over 130 years, SSRRH has 118 licensed beds (84 Inpatient, 24 Outpatient & 10 Labor & Delivery) and serves a population of more than 130,000 people. Centers of excellence include: Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Women's and Children's Services, and Level III NICU.
The OR Technician creates a sterile area for the surgical procedures. Scrubs, dons, and removes gowns and gloves from self and physicians. Sets up sterile tables, assists with patient draping and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Hands and receives instruments and supplies for case use. Assists with room clean up and setup of procedures. Assist with restocking of department.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
- Certificate of completion from a recognized course of study highly recommended or on the job training required.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years previous acute care experience as an Operating Room Technician required.
SKILLS & KNOWELDGE:
- Anatomy and Physiology.
- Sterilization techniques and practices.
- Sterile and Aseptic technique.
- Surgical instruments and supplies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Prioritization skills.
- Identification of problems, analyze and reach effective resolutions.
