For more information feel free to call/text/email me at any time:Katie Kettlety - Sr Talent Partner at Prestige Care (360) 910-0965 katie.kettlety@prestigecare.com:POSITION SUMMARY:Provide interim support to skilled nursing facilities as needed and assigned to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and to achieve compliance with company policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations and clinical standards of practice. Promotes the Company's core values of respect, integrity, commitment, and trust.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Ensure facility compliance with company policies/procedures and State/ Federal regulations. Provide education, system implementation and monitoring, and development of performance improvement plans in conjunction with Administrators and Directors of Nursing to promote positive resident outcomes.* Assist with training facility management including Directors of Nursing, Resident Care Manager, and licensed nurses and nursing assistants as requested, on company skilled nursing policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulations.* Provide interim DNS support as assigned.* Provide interim support as needed through the survey process including assistance with preparation for survey and monitoring for compliance.* Provide training to Prestige P and P as well as implementation of systems new to DNS.* Prepare visit reports and audit results for the Regional Director of Operations, Regional Nurse Consultant, and Senior Regional Support Nurse.* May be assigned other interim duties as needed.COMPANY WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES:* Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and staff. All information obtained in the field, or at Central Support, is kept strictly confidential.* Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents and employees.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* As an interim DNS, will supervise nursing staff in the building.* As the Clinical Specialist, over the course of training of a new DNS, will systematically transition supervisory responsibility to the new DNS.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:* The Director of Nursing must have a RN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing. * Minimum of 4 years working in geriatric nursing, including experience with medication administration, delivery systems and pharmacies. * 2 years in supervisory/management position, including experience with budgets, staff development, training and scheduling. * Additional course work in management is an asset. * Working knowledge of MDS process, state and federal survey, and CMS is preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Able to communicate effectively, in English, with personnel at all levels of the organization, with residents, their friends and family, and with members of the community. Ability to present training to small and large groups. Computer skills include at least a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including e-mail, Excel and Word.REASONING ABILITY:* Ability to accurately assess, trouble-shoot, and problem-solve to meet the needs of the skilled nursing facility, residents, and clinical staff. * Ability to develop plans for improving clinical systems that can be implemented with others.
