The University of South Florida (USF) is seeking a full time employed BE/BE PEDIATRIC SURGEON to join our growing program in Sunny Tampa, Florida! We are seeking a candidate who will provide a wide range of surgical care for premature newborns to 18-year old adolescents. Procedures include full scope of laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, robotic and open surgeries in the cervical, thoracic and abdominal regions addressing the diseases of the respiratory, digestive, biliary, genitourinary and dermatologic systems.

About Tampa General Hospital:

Tampa General is a private not-for-profit hospital and one of the most comprehensive medical facilities in West Central Florida serving a dozen counties with a population in excess of 4 million. Licensed for 1,010 beds, Tampa General Hospital has been affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine since the school was created in the early 1970s. With five medical helicopters we are able to transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. TGH the Children’s Medical Center, which features a 90 bed NICU, active PICU, 40 inpatient beds and the only Level 1 ACS accredited pediatric trauma center in Florida.

Details of the Practice Opportunity:

  • The division of pediatric surgery consists of three pediatric surgeons.

  • This full-time pediatric surgery position includes participation with a strong surgical residency program.
  • Physician candidates must have completed an ABMS accredited Fellowship program in Pediatric Surgery, be eligible for unrestricted Florida License, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric surgery.
