POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, is seeking a Pulmonary/Critical Care physician for a full-time position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires a minimum of five years of continuing and productive service as an Assistant Professor, or the equivalent.

To practice medicine in a designated specialty with reasonable skill and safety.  To obtain and maintain a valid Florida Medical License or Medical Faculty Certificate.  To be a credentialed participant in the College's Faculty Practice Plan who is privileged to perform the essential functions of his/her designated specialty.  To be a Medical Staff Member in good standing in the hospitals or healthcare organizations where he/she is assigned to perform clinical and/or clinical teaching duties. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaching: Provides instruction and supervision for medical students, residents and fellows at USF and its affiliated institutions in the areas of critical care, clinics, consults and lectures.
• Research: Interventional Pulmonary or area of interest.
• Clinical: Provides Pulmonary and Critical Care Services at TGH and/or other affiliated hospitals and clinics.
• Other: Service and Development.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:

• Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.  Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
• Candidate must be ABIM certified in Pulmonary Diseases and eligible/certified in Critical Care Medicine.    Eligible candidates should be well versed in invasive pulmonology.  
• Must hold or be eligible for a full unrestricted Florida medical license.
