Division Chief of General Academic Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH/RBC) and the University Hospitals (UH) system, has initiated a national search to identify candidates to serve as Division Chief of General Academic Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. The organizations are seeking a physician leader capable of establishing and implementing a vision that encompasses the mission values of UH/RBC: To Heal, To Teach, To Discover.

Transformational Leadership Position Highlights:

 The Division Chief will have the goal of advancing the field of General Academic Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine through patient care, practice innovation, research, education, community outreach, and advocacy.

 UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children: Practice based at new, 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art center where health care services offered include general pediatrics and adolescent medicine, outpatient pregnancy care, and general OB/GYN. Additional key services provided are pediatric dentistry, optometry, community services, childbirth and parenting classes, breastfeeding support, integrated mental/behavioral health services, nutrition education and classes, WIC, and ambulatory pharmacy. The Rainbow Center serves as the continuity clinic location for RBC’s pediatric residents.

 Key strategic priorities include but not limited to advocacy and health equity, resident education, general pediatric medicine, adolescent medicine, and research.

 Oversight and growth of Divisional research focused on analyses, research, and education on child health policy and health services issues, with internal, external and philanthropic supports.
