Child Psychiatry Service
The University of Vermont, Robert Larner, MD, College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Medical Group are seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on the clinical scholar pathway to join an enthusiastic team of professionals in the University of Vermont Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
The selected candidate will be responsible for direct patient care in the Emergency Department and in the hospital along with supervision and teaching of the child psychiatry fellows, residents, and medical students while on those services. An appreciation of the importance of and satisfaction from working as part of an innovative service model, including a willingness to work with the adult parents of child patients, and an ability to work collaboratively are essential. An interest in clinical research, teaching, and/or public health is a plus. Knowledge of evidence-based medical practice is essential.
Applicants must have a medical degree and be board certified in psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry. Experience in outpatient and academic settings would be preferred.
