The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Cardiology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will be responsible for the clinical care of patients with HF EF, HF PEF, cardiac amyloid and advanced heart failure including VADs and post cardiac transplantation, in addition to having a research interest in one or more of the following areas (management of advanced heart failure, including cardiophysiology, hemodynamics, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support). Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board certified or eligible in Cardiology, and 4) will have training and/or experience in the management of advanced heart failure, including cardiophysiology, hemodynamics, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support, including right heart catheterization and endomyocardial biopsies. Completion of an ACGME-accredited advanced heart failure fellowship is also required.
