The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo seeks a dynamic Division Director for the Generalist Division.  This individual will lead the clinical, administrative, educational, and research goals of the generalist division.  The position will hold a non-tenure-track faculty rank of Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– In partnership with the Department Chair, develop a comprehensive strategy and plan for the growth and development of the section’s clinical, educational, and research activities.

– In partnership with the Department Chair, Dr. Vanessa Barnabei, and the Director of Administrative Operations, manage the administrative, research, and clinical operations for the section.

– Develop and mentor Division faculty with emphasis on quality, effectiveness and efficiency.

– Participate in the clinical services initiatives of Great Lakes Health, our clinical/hospital partners.

– Promote scholarly activity and investigation within the Generalist Division and Department.

– Participate in the direct supervision and training of faculty, residents, and medical students.

Qualifications:

MD or equivalent degree required, plus board certification in general OB-GYN.  Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position required.  The successful candidate will have a proven record of the leadership and clinical skills necessary to complement and expand the Department’s academic mission.
