Certified Nursing Assistant - Surgery Oncology at Swedish Edmonds

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides assistance in the safe and effective nursing care of patients in a variety of age groups which may include neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric which is consistent with the provisions of Chapter 246-841 WAC.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:
  • Completion of a program to obtain a Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Washington
  • Current Washington State Certification as a Nurse Assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN)
  • Washington State Medical Assistant-Registered with Swedish Edmonds facility application completed within 7 days of hire
  • Must obtain active license within 60 days of hire.
  • Employee will not be authorized to practice independently for Point of Care until registration is obtained
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred, or related work experience
