Position Overview:
Responsible for providing direct patient care to specific patient populations effectively using the nursing process - Assessment, Planning, Implementation & Continual Reassessment - as the foundation for care delivery. Serves as a patient advocate; effectively coordinates care and continually promotes safety and clinical / service quality in daily practice.

EDUCATION
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Associates Degree

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

ICU - RN-Registered Nurse of California

ICU - BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

ICU - ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support

ICU - PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support

EXPERIENCE

Preferred experience as typically acquired

Previous experience as an RN in an acute care hospital desirable but not required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Independently practices and prioritizes multiple demands in an ever changing environment.

Requires excellent critical thinking, communication skills , relationship skills, and clinical / technical expertise in area of specialty.

License/Certifications:
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association, PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association, RN-Registered Nurse of California - California Department of Consumer Affairs
