The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking outstanding candidates for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care, and expertise in Trauma and Critical Care. Candidates must be board certified in General Surgery and current in ATLS. Board certification in Critical Care, and active participation in regional and national trauma organizations is preferred. Established research productivity with regular participation in academic trauma forums is also desirable. Candidates must also have recognized skills in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and will be expected to assume leadership roles in this area.
This position is for the Chief of Trauma based at the UCSF-East Bay Surgery program at Alameda County’s Level 1 Adult Trauma Center at Highland Hospital, a member of the Alameda Health System (AHS).
