The Department of Surgery at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a Vascular & Endovascular Surgery faculty position. The incumbent is responsible for the clinical care of its vascular surgical population and participation in student, resident and post-graduate teaching. Clinical and laboratory research opportunities are available. The selected candidate will further scholarly achievements with the goal of promotion within the School of Medicine and the University. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Virginia has an excellent ACGME accredited General Surgery Residency Program with a strong national reputation. The Vascular Surgery training program consists of three 5+2 fellows in current format.

UVa is located in beautiful Charlottesville with easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains, the eastern shore and the nation's Capital. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: MD or equivalent by appointment start date
Experience: Must have completed or be currently completing, a vascular fellowship or residency, and have expertise in the care of vascular patients. Interested individuals must possess a strong interest in a career in academic medicine as demonstrated through past experience with research or teaching pursuits and a prepared proposal for an academic career path.
Licensure: Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in vascular surgery.
