The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s affiliation with Elmhurst Hospital Center, serving the culturally diverse community of Western Queens, seeks a full-Time BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join the growing Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Elmhurst Hospital at the level of Associate Director.

Elmhurst Hospital Center is a member of New York City's H+H (Health + Hospitals) public hospital system. The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (within the Department of Pediatrics) is made up of pediatric emergency and pediatric physicians from the hospital and the community. The emergency department, a Level 1 trauma center, cares for approximately 60,000 patients per year, making it one of the busiest pediatric EDs in New York City.

The Pediatric Emergency Department is physically separate from the adult Emergency Department and is staffed by pediatric nurses, pediatric and emergency medicine residents and a pediatric nurse practitioner. There are a wide variety of opportunities for program development and academic advancement in the areas of trauma, simulation, quality & safety and medical education.

We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Candidates should be BC/BE in Pediatric Emergency medicine or Pediatrics and possess a valid New York State license and DEA. Experience in leadership roles and program development is required.
