Staff Clinician: Clinical Research Support

The NICHD Division of Intramural Research (DIR) is recruiting for a Staff Clinician in Pediatrics or Pediatrics/Internal Medicine with training in Endocrinology, Genetics or Neurology. This is an important position that will allow us to serve the mission of the DIR, NICHD, and NIH and that of the NIH, Clinical Research Center (CRC) by working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary research teams to facilitate clinical research and oversee fellowship training. Areas of research include rare genetic diseases and pediatric endocrinology.

 

The successful candidate will have a M.D. (or equivalent degree) in the field of Endocrinology, Genetics or Neurology. Individual must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted licensed or registration as a Physician to practice medicine in the United States, and eligible to be credentialed for patient care by the National Institutes of Health, Clinical Center. We are specifically interested in individuals who have been trained in Pediatrics and have specialty training in Endocrinology, Genetics or Neurology. Clinical research experience and particularly experience with FDA regulated research would be favored. The ideal candidate should be an excellent physician who has a strong interest and desire to conduct high quality clinical research, with outstanding communication skills. Successful candidates will function in concert with protocol coordinators, research nurses, and principal investigators to support ongoing clinical research projects and will be integrally involved in the development of new clinical research initiatives.

 

Salary is commensurate with training and relevant research experience. Applications for this position will be accepted starting May 28, 2019 until the position is filled.
