Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship
University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine seeks applicants for a fourth year fellowship dedicated to ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and GI oncology to join the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology beginning July 1, 2020. The position is a Visiting Instructor track. The fellowship includes a very highly competitive salary. This is a one-year Non-ACGME fellowship position. Minimum Requirements: 1) must be board certified in Internal Medicine by date of hire; 2) applicants are required to complete a formal three year ACGME accredited gastroenterology fellowship by date of hire; and 3) must be eligible to work in US. Desirable Qualifications: 1) interest in advanced endoscopy; and 2) must be able to begin July 1, 2020. Qualified applicant will have the opportunity to perform more than 1,000 advanced endoscopy procedures including: diagnostic and therapeutic EUS procedures, advanced therapeutic ERCP procedures along with endoscopic mucosal resection and luminal stenting. Besides clinical training, applicant is also expected to pursue scholastic activities involving participation in multidisciplinary conferences, research projects related to endoscopic techniques, outcomes, etc. This position may be subject to a criminal records screening in accordance with New Mexico law.
