Henry Ford Health System, one of the world’s most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for a Director of Electrophysiology. 

The Cardiology Division is home to more than 40 cardiologists and four fellowship programs (including 2 EP Fellowship spots) at eight Henry Ford Health System sites throughout southeast Michigan. The Division offers the full spectrum of quaternary services and provides patient care to over 114,000 patients annually. Academic/research opportunities abound for the interested candidate.

The Cardiac Electrophysiology Program is an academic EP practice at Henry Ford Health System which provides advanced, cutting edge evidence-based care for all cardiac arrhythmias.  The program includes five extremely well equipped electrophysiology laboratories, two of them based at the main campus in Detroit and the remainder in the system affiliated institutions. Two approved electrophysiology fellowship positions,  four approved mid level positions at the main campus and a large centralized device clinic, completes one of the most visible academic programs in Michigan.

Responsibilities:

The physician must be a specialist in adult cardiology and specifically, cardiac electrophysiology. Must have ample experience in a leadership role within an Academic Health System. He/she must be skilled at test interpretation, selected diagnostic procedures, patient counseling, differential diagnosis and medical and interventional therapeutics in the broad range of cardiovascular disorders.
