Adult Congenital Heart Disease Faculty Position


The Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine and Heart Institute is recruiting a full-time Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (without tenure by reason of funding) to serve as an Adult Congenital Heart Disease cardiologist at the University of Washington Medical Center. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Assistant Professors WOT are eligible for Multi-year appointments, and associate and full professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that both align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position will be expected to attend on clinical service and mentor trainees.  This position will be expected to engage in clinical activities, teaching, and research. The anticipated start date will be December 1, 2022 or after.

All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

Applicants should have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent) and be board certified/eligible in cardiovascular diseases and in adult congenital heart disease (or foreign equivalents). Candidates must have subspecialty expertise in the management of adult congenital heart disease. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-US) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
