Assistant Clinical Professor, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine

Position Summary:

The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM) is seeking an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) physicians for a part-time, 0.3 to 0.6 FTE (negotiable) faculty teaching position at the Athens Campus.

Expectations are equivalent to clinical track Assistant/Associate Professor positions.

Applicants should possess a strong desire to teach and advise osteopathic medical students within the curriculum and contribute to the success of the Heritage College and its Athens Campus through teaching and service. Candidates must have outstanding leadership, management, and interpersonal skills to relate to a diverse faculty, staff, students and community members.

The successful applicant will have special interest and qualifications in the practice and teaching of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and deliver curricular and other scholarly activities.

Teach courses assigned to the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM).

Participate in the ongoing programs and program development of the Department of OMM including pre- and postdoctoral training and other scholarly activities as appropriate.

Teach the clinical application of osteopathic principles and manipulative medicine in ambulatory and hospital-based practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an American Osteopathic Association (AOA)-approved osteopathic college Satisfactory completion of an AOA-approved internship and AOA-approved residency program Board eligible for or Board certified by the AOA Ohio Licensure or credentials allowing same

DEA Licensure
