Job Description

* Nocturnist Shift** 7pm- 7am

We are looking to expand our APP (advanced practice provider program) with experienced Nocturnist Hospitalist Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to assist in the daily medical care, admissions and discharges of patients on the medical units. The APP will work in close supervision with physician staff of the Hospitalist services. The APP will provide support to the physician staff in order to ensure achieving quality performance metrics such as decreased length of stay, throughput, reduce readmission rates, and to optimize the safety and quality of care of our patients. Preferred Qualifications
* Previous Hospitalist experience
* Previous EPIC experience

The provider will also assist with patients who require stabilization and preferable to have central and intubation procedural skills. For interested candidates, we will provide training.

Requirements

Progressive clinical nursing experience Three to five years of clinical nursing experience as a RN or NP experience

Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Bachelors in Nursing and Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse
practioners, or certificare from an education program
that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia
Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing.

Training
Specific to speciality BLS; ACLS FOR CRITICAL
CARE Specific to speciality (e.g. ACLS, NALS, PALS, ENCC,
ATLS, NRP

Certification
Certification for advanced practice Certificate in area of
specialty

Licensure
Licensed or eligible for licensing as a nurse practitioner in
the state of employment RN Compact License (depending on State of primary residence) and a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner in the state of employment AND a "Prescriptive Authority for Licensed Nurse Practitioners Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/supervising physician(s), AND a written
"Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising
physician, AND "Prescriptive Authority License" AND
"Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if
prescribing controlled substances)
