The Section of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Maine Medical Center is seeking a Vascular Fellowship or Residency trained Vascular Surgeon to join their well-established practice of 6 vascular surgeons located in Portland, Maine.  The group provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art, tertiary vascular care for Maine’s over 1.2-million people.  The candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery. 

Maine Medical Center (MMC) has 637 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of Tufts University Medical School.  MMC currently supports over 240 residents and fellows in 14 residencies and 9 fellowships approved by the ACGME, including a Vascular Surgery residency and General Surgery residency.  The selected candidate will have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.  The position involves teaching and mentoring both Vascular Surgery integrated residents, General Surgery residents and TUFTS medical students.  

An academic background is preferred and research opportunities are available through the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation, the COBRE program at Maine Medical Research Institute, and through our participation as a founding member of the Vascular Study Group of New England and Vascular Quality Initiative.
