An exciting practice opportunity is available at the Medical College of Wisconsin for a board certified or board eligible Pediatric Surgeon.  This is an opportunity to join a collegial and growing practice of eleven pediatric surgeons.  The candidate will hold a faculty appointment at the Medical College of Wisconsin in partnership with the Pediatric Surgery program at the Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee.

MCW is the 4^th largest private medical school in the nation, ranked in the top 5% nationally in the number of residents trained. MCW is Wisconsin’s largest private research institution, and composes the largest multi-specialty physician practice in Wisconsin with approximately 2.6 million patient visits annually. Our pediatric surgical providers are members of Children’s Specialty Group (CSG), comprised of greater than 600 specialty care pediatric providers.

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is one of the nation’s top pediatric facilities.  CHW is a 300-bed pediatric hospital and ACS Level I Children’s Surgery Center and Pediatric Trauma Center that provides comprehensive care for neonates, infants, children and adolescents.  It is one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the nation, with 72 PICU beds, and approximately 26,000 annual admissions, 71,000 emergency room visits and over 20,000 surgical procedures performed annually.  In 2018, more than 394,000 children and adolescents were seen in the hospital’s specialty outpatient clinics and urgent care sites. U.S. News & World Report has ranked Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in 8 pediatric specialties it reviews in the new 2018-19 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. The hospital is designated a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a national honor that recognizes nursing excellence and high quality patient care.  This designation is held by only 8% of hospitals nationwide.
