LPN Staff Nurse
Pediatric Medical Day Care Center at Galloway
Full time - Part time or Per Diem
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the participants, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the room assistants in accordance with the Center's policies, procedures, and guidelines.

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the participants, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the room assistants in accordance with the Center's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Responsibilities of Staff Nurse LPN:
- Direct and monitor the day-to-day functions of the room assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Pediatric Medical Day Care Center at Galloway
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. as necessary
- Providing health education to a child's parent
- Alerting the nursing director about changes in a child's medical status and managing medical emergencies
- Collect and provide data to the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee as requested
- Follow established Infection Control Universal Precautions policies and insure that your assigned personnel follow said policies
Requirements of Staff Nurse LPN:
- LPNs must be, at a minimum certified as a NJ Licensed Practical Nurse
- All licensed nurses must have at least one year of full time experience working with medically complex children. All must have a current certification on cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED)
- LPNs may be required by the director of nursing services to obtain certification by the American Heart Association in pediatric advanced life support
