The Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director works with the System Chair in the overall supervision and organization of the residency program to help insure the continued provision of quality training and supervision to the Diagnostic Radiology Residents and quality imaging and interventions for the patients in the Cook County Health and Hospitals System. These leadership duties are in addition to the standard clinical attending responsibilities. The Program Director assists the Chair in assessing staffing, recruitment of Attending Physician staff, scheduling, quality assurance and other administrative tasks as determined by the Chair. The Program Director will act as Department Chair when the Chair or Associate Chair are not available. Experience must be wide and varied.

MINIMUM
Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) from an accredited college or university
Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency
Licensed physician in the State of Illinois, or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to the start of employment
Must possess a valid Illinois Controlled Substance License or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to starting employment
Must possess a valid Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to starting employment
Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology. Must maintain full board certification to remain on medical staff
Completion of an Imaging Fellowship (Body, Musculoskeletal, Neuroradiology, MRI or similar) in the United States
Three (3) years of experience as an Attending Radiologist
One (1) year of providing educational leadership experience
