What You Will Do:

Neurology is an acute care nursing unit which focuses on the treatment of adult and geriatric patients with diagnosis including strokes, TIA, seizures, altered mental status, post spinal and brain surgery.

You should have an uplifting personality, have good time management skills, patience, and compassion. You will be answering call lights, charting, ordering supplies for patients and assisting with ADLs. As an Associate with Saint Thomas Health Svcs-TN, you will have the opportunity to performbasic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision in the assigned area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Aids with entry and exit of patients and movement of equipment.

* Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) Such as bathing, feeding, grooming.

* Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.

* Responsible for keeping patient rooms clean and orderly as well as maintaining medical equipment

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross obtained prior to hire date orjob transfer date required.

* Nurse Aide credential preferred.

Education:

* High school diploma or GED required.
