The Life of an HCA Nurse
ODS nurses provide compassionate care to pre and same day surgery patients. They are often the first person patients see after a major surgery. They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Flexible scheduling (8-10/hr shifts); minimal call requirements.
Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Director or Manager, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.
Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice, and the generic and unit structure standards.
The Registered Nurse in 786 ODS provides care for birth to pediatric (birth-2 yrs.), pediatric/child patients between (2 yrs-12 yrs); adolescent patients between 12 to 18 years of age; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
Qualifications
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Current
RN licensure required. Excellent interpersonal skills required. BCLS required. Ability
to achieve and maintain ACLS and PALS certification in 90 days of hire.
Two years prior experience preferred in surgery setting.
