Pay Range:
$17.00-24.86/hr

Provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. Continually monitors patients on telemetry by interpreting and recording ECG rhythms and reporting pertinent changes to appropriate personnel. Responsible for accuracy of reports and error reconciliation. Troubleshoots equipment problems and communicates needs to leader. Assists the healthcare team in coordinating, prioritizing and communicating patient, physician and staff needs. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. The cardiovascular Telemetry department at Porter Adventist Hospital has 14 beds and averages 250 admissions per month. The unit specializes in care of Acute Myocardial Infarction, Heart Failure, Atrial fibrillation, and cardiac procedure recovery.

What You Bring/Job Requirements:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Six months previous CNA experience, preferredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English Basic computer skillsPrevious telemetry experience, preferredPrevious nursing unit secretary or medical office experience, preferredGraduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, preffered Once hired, successful Completion of ECG Exam will be required annuallyCurrent state CNA license for applicable state of employmentBasic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association requiredCardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferredPhysical Reqirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
