Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit. Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Candidates with less than one year of post licensure acute care nursing experience who possess a license or eligible to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS will be considered for appointment to a Nurse 1 position
Preferred Qualifications:
OR experience preferred
Work Days:
Full-time (40 hours a week), Days/Evenings/Nights based on operational needs with rotating weekends and holiday call required. Weekend and holiday rotation as required by bargaining agreements
Salary Range/Pay Rate:
Commensurate with Qualifications, based on acute care experience.
