Job SummaryUnder general supervision, the OBHS RN adheres to the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing and performance, and the ANA Code of Ethics to provide care to all healthcare consumers. Applies critical thinking, evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the health care team to promote excellence in healthcare consumer safety and quality outcomes.

* Administer methadone according to a doctor's instruction and in compliance with applicable regulations
* Record client information, generate reports and dispense methadone using computerized medical systems
* Ongoing physical, emotional and chemical assessment and evaluation of clients
* Participate in verbal de-escalation and trauma-informed patient support
* Provide health education to clients, in a harm reduction, patient-centered framework
* Refer clients to other clinical team members when patient needs are beyond the scope of practical nursing practice
* Coordinate and prepare methadone delivery to agency, and Denver Jail dosing facilities
* Work within an interdisciplinary clinical treatment team as well as within a dynamic hospital system to achieve best practice and positive patient outcomes
* Maintain knowledge of and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and laws, as well as internal company policies and procedures regarding methadone/Suboxone dispensing and narcotic treatment.

Education:

* Completion of an accredited nursing education program that is accredited and satisfies the licensing requirements of the Colorado State Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses.
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience:

At least one-year RN experience in a direct patient care setting.

Credentials:

* Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Colorado or a participating compact state required.
* National board certification is a preference and encouraged for staff nurses.
* American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR required.

All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.

Location: Pavilion K

Shift: Days, 5:00am - 2:30pm, M-F. Some Saturdays.

Minimum: 30.53

Midpoint: 38.22

Maximum: 45.87
