Full Time, Weekend nights. 36 hours/week. Pay Range is between $39.29-$54.71/hr, depending on years of relevant and like experience . **Includes night and float pool differential. This is a Weekend Premium position. The Weekend Premium position offers a unique scheduling opportunity with added benefits: A 36-hour work week with 40 hours paid time Enjoy the flexibility of weekdays off! 12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Commit to 3 weekends per month; 1 weekend off per month Great for working parents, and people seeking a set schedule. Eligible for all premium pay and differentials - weekends, nights, incentive, holiday and overtime pay POSITION SUMMARY Provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Meets the needs of the patient, family and interdisciplinary team through communication, coordination, evaluation, and service excellence. Care is provided to all ages with problems ranging from simple, non-urgent to complex, life-threatening conditions. All documentation tracking and aftercare is electronic and computer-based. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.) Colorado RN License in good standing. BLS Certification. ACLS Certification or completion within 6 months of hire. ACLS Certification required when floating to units where ACLS is required Knowledge, Skill and Ability Demonstrates physical and mental abilities to apply nursing and management theories, procedures and standards. Leadership, delegation and critical thinking skills to manager patient needs within the scope of unit expectations and needs. Knowledge of safety principles and infection prevention. Ability to assist in identifying ways to promote quality care. Demonstrates conflict resolution skills. Experience 3 years of inpatient nursing experience preferred. Critical care or ICU experience desirable. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED Standard medical/hospital equipment, i.e. pumps, monitors, phone, computers, etc. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES Physical working environment may include, but is not limited to any of the following; hazards; chemical, electrical, mechanical, bio-waste, radiation, stress, back strain, body fluids, etc. Environmental conditions may include, but are not limited to, variations in temperature, noise, odors, multi-stimuli, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to stoop, crouch and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, squat and sit. The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or lift up to 30 pounds, support, push and pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed). Functional physical demands include manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reach. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell and touch. Rotating between Foothills and Broadway campus is an expectation of the position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promotes a patient safety culture and participates with other departments in achieving core measures, evidence and best practice. Promotes service excellence. Supports and ensures compliance with hospital, division, and departmental policies. Familiar with organization, department and job specific environment of care policies, including, life safety, utilities management, hazardous material communication, emergency preparedness, infection prevention and medical equipment failure.
