Position description
This position is open to work units 54789, 54645, 55508, and 54572. Mayo Clinic's large, nationally recognized CV Surgery program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and APP's in managing care of adult and pediatric Cardiac Surgery patients in the outpatient clinical setting. This includes surgical consultation, preoperative assessment/management, postoperative follow-up and postoperative complication management. Assisting in the OR will not be required for this position. Position offers a stimulating environment for learning. Ability to assist in research, education, and quality improvement projects are available. No call or holidays.

Qualifications
This position is open to work units 54789, 54645, 55508, and 54572.

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP, ANP or ACNP;

or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.
