RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist for leadership role in Northern NJ

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated health system in New Jersey, is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist to serve as the new Chief of the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology in Northern New Jersey. This individual will be responsible for pediatric pulmonary services at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey and The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, part of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Ideal candidates will be dedicated to building and helping to cultivate growth of the program throughout the RWJBarnabas Health hospital system.

About Position:  

  • Employed full-time with clinical and administrative responsibilities for the Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel
  • Provide the full range of pediatric pulmonary clinical services, including inpatient and outpatient consultations at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, its Pediatric Specialty Center offices, located at 375 Mount Pleasant Avenue, West Orange, the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and any designated affiliated sites
  • Coordinate patient care provided by the Division’s physician, ancillary and administrative support staff
  • Teaching responsibilities including oversight, development and implementation of the pediatric pulmonary curriculum for medical students and residents
  • Growing a robust referral base including the establishment of satellite clinical outpatient sites in our service area
  • Serve as the Medical Director for the Cystic Fibrosis program and the pediatric pulmonology laboratory at the West Orange Pediatric Specialty Center
  • Provide direction and program development for the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology


Candidate Requirements:  

  • Must be board certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Ideal candidates will have 5 or more years of clinical training
  • Experience in and desire to continue with bronchoscopy program
  • Experience leading a team or administering pediatric pulmonology programs
  • A passion for caring for children with complex medical needs
