Stanford University, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery seeks a Clinical Instructor for a one-year appointment to start on July 1, 2020, to provide patient care in cardiopulmonary transplantation and the surgical management of congestive heart failure. 

Duties will include patient care responsibilities in heart, heart-lung and lung transplant procedures, the insertion of mechanical circulatory support devices, and organ procurement.  Participation in the pre-operative evaluation for potential candidates, transplant logistics, transplant surgery and in postoperative care. Individuals who have completed an accredited training program in cardiothoracic surgery and have an interest in surgical treatment of heart failure and cardiopulmonary transplant are encouraged to apply.  Must be eligible for and maintain a California Medical License. Must have completed USMLE examination series.
