            DIVISION OF PULMONARY/CRITICAL CARE/SLEEP MEDICINE

The Wayne State University School of Medicine (WSU SOM) Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) seek a faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (rank and salary determined by qualifications and experience of successful candidate) on the clinical-educator track.  The PCCSM program is a collaborative effort between Wayne Health (WH) and WSU SOM.  As a member of WH, the physician will participate in the clinical activities of the division including rounding on the MICU and inpatient consult rotations and staffing outpatient clinics.  As a faculty member of WSU SOM, research opportunities will be available through the Department of Internal Medicine and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents and PCCM fellows. The division is particularly interested in faculty with experience in either

  1. Medical Education: fellowship program leadership/development and/or medical student education/curricular development; our fellowship has an innovative and award-winning Clinician Educator track to develop future teachers in PCCM.
  2. Sleep medicine:  opportunity to lead and grow the clinical sleep program at Wayne Health and participate in research through the WSU Sleep Research group.

Interested applicants must be licensed in the state of Michigan as an MD or DO and be board certified or eligible in Pulmonary and/or Critical Care Medicine and/or Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
