The position provides leadership and has direct oversight of the staff within the Centralized Access Center (CAC), Centralized Financial Services Unit (CFCU), the Centralized Admission Verification Unit (CPAVU) and Nurse Connect RN Telephonic Triage Program.

The role has oversight for the budgeting, staffing, drafting and updating of policies and procedures, audit responses (including regulatory and internal audit), compliance monthly reporting, risk and audit reporting, and compliance enforcement within the specific areas. The position also works with Marketing, the Medical Director of Community Health System (CHS) , Director of Population Health to develop and implement strategic marketing and other patient care plans for the CAC and the Nurse Connect. In addition, the role will proactively identify, develop and execute critical process improvement initiatives to drive industry's best practice for compliance, and performance in all areas while improving the customer experience, physician satisfaction, increase volumes, decrease no- show rate, and help accelerate net revenue and financial viability for Broward Health. Stays abreast of industry standards/updates and hospital revenue cycle procedures and implements changes as required. In doing so, studies and evaluates patient business service procedures to improve business operations, prompt collections, and streamline revenue work flow to support the financial performance of the organization.

The Director will motivate staff to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and to meet the organization goals for customer service and financial performance. The position will ensure the reporting of strategic initiatives, revenue cycle services relating to pre-registration services systems, information technology, communication, technical oversight, training and support, quality assurance, performance improvement metrics and measurement, regulatory and compliance issues. Implementation and monitoring of network-wide operational best practices.

Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience required in a patient financial services leadership role.
