The Department of Cardiology at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana is searching for physicians that enjoy providing direct patient care in a large group practice setting, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in clinical research programs. We currently have an opportunity for:

  • BC Electrophysiologist with 5 years of practice experience

The Department of Cardiology includes 71 cardiologists as members of the Ochsner Health’s John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute, practicing at 5 community locations (Baton Rouge, Kenner, Covington, Slidell, and Marrero) and at our academic medical center in New Orleans.  Our advanced EP program is growing, and we are adding a 7th adult electrophysiologist at the main campus in New Orleans. 

Ochsner has 2 medical schools, including the Ochsner Clinical School affiliated with the University of Queensland in Australia and the Ochsner/LSU-Shreveport Medical School, and our ACGME accredited Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology training programs offer the opportunity to engage in research, and to teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows.

PHYSICIAL MEDICINE & REHABILITATION

Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, is searching for a CHAIR for its PHYSICAL MEDICINE & REHABILITATION DEPARTMENT to lead our expanding team.  Board certification, as well as prior leadership experience is required.  Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience and training. Along with leadership/administrative responsibilities, working closely with the System Chair of PM&R, the position also includes the opportunity to practice in an inpatient or outpatient setting, or a mix of both, and involves teaching and clinical research. 

Ochsner Rehabilitation specializes in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Department of PM&R is an integral component of a multi-collaborative department within our Neuroscience Institute.  Areas of expertise include gait disorders, spasticity, stroke, spinal cord injury, neurological disease and head injury.  The inpatient rehabilitation facility is certified by CARF in general rehabilitation and has a specialty CARF certification in the area of stroke recovery.  Currently, we have 28-beds, with plans to expand to 60-beds in the near future.
