Renders nursing care inassigned area in terms of individualized client needs, according to dependentand independent nursing functions and conformance with recognized nursingtechnique, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practicalnursing, under the direction/delegation of the clinic management team and ofthe registered nurse and/or provider

Followsestablished policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, andsensitivity to confidential information

Performs generalnursing care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordancewith nursing standards.

Aids the providerduring patient examination, testing, and treatment.

Maintains timelyflow of patient appointments.

Greets patientsand prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriateinformation and documents all information in the Electronic Medical Records(EMR) system.

Arranges forpatient testing and procedures and instructs the patient in these procedures asappropriate.

Assists providerswith direct patient care, examinations, and treatment plans.

Prepares patientsand assists providers with minor medical procedures.

Performs nursingprocedures under provider's direction.

Responds to andrefers incoming telephone calls.

Instructs patientsand/or family members regarding the medical condition of the patient, includingmedication and treatment.

Coordinatespatient care with other departments within Bell and with other community healthcare agencies.

Prepares examrooms and treatment areas, including the re-stocking of all appropriatesupplies.

Attends requiredmeetings and in-services and maintains an active professional license.

Completes annualeducational requirements.

Maintainsconfidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Support theculture of service excellence throughout the organization.

Actively seeksways to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participates inprofessional development opportunities.

Performs otherrelated duties as assigned or requested.

Computer and/orkeyboarding skills required.

Skill in measuringvital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate,pain assessment, and pulse oximetry.

Ability torecognize issues and identify solutions.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Education Graduate of a Program in Discipline

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills,decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications: Basic LifeSupport (BLS) Licenses: Valid state license to practice practical nursing

Minimum WorkExperience: Preferred: One year of prior experience as a Licensed PracticalNurse
