Registered Nurse Supervisor GI LabFull-Time POSITION SUMMARY: In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Nursing Supervisor supports the management of a defined patient care area to provide a climate optimal for the provision of individualized, goal directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision, values of Medical City Arlington and the philosophy of the Nursing Department and promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff s primary commitment to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual, family or community. The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for their practice and care coordination. The Nursing Supervisor is expected to practice autonomously utilizing evidence based practices.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

Current Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted.

Licensure/certification/registration:

Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required. Current ACLS issued by the American Heart Association preferred.
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred, Masters degree preferred.

Experience:

Recent experience at the level of staff nurse, preferably within the last two years. Additional significant experience in area of specialty is preferred. Three years of management experience preferred.

Special Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally and in writing.

Previously demonstrated management potential preferred
