Director, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine announces an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  Responsibilities include oversight of patient care in the outpatient setting, clinical consultation to the pediatric emergency department and pediatric inpatient services, provision of clinical care and teaching of medical students and trainees in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and mental health counseling.  Opportunities are also available for research and child advocacy.  The successful applicant will participate in the shaping of a child-centered, family-focused, culturally competent, community-linked child psychiatry program targeted at the needs of Boston’s most vulnerable children.  Applicants must be board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry.  Academic appointment is commensurate with experience.  Salary is competitive and benefits are excellent.  Interested applicants should email a letter detailing relevant experience and a current CV to David Henderson, MD, Chair, Department of Psychiatry, Boston University School of Medicine, at david.henderson@bmc.org
