The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking
applications for a faculty member in the clinician-educator line. The successful candidate will possess
expertise in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine with a specific focus in childhood asthma. The candidate will work with Division leadership to develop a clinical asthma program within the Division and across the greater Bay area. The program leader will provide direct patient care as well as lead the development of clinical asthma programs in the Division’s multiple outpatient and inpatient clinical sites. Moreover, the successful candidate will assist in the development of asthma education programs. Engaging in research activities, across the full range of Stanford University, is highly encouraged. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows will be an important component of the position. Candidates must have an MD and be Board Certified in Pediatrics, and either Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine and obtain a California Medical License by the time of hire. The candidate will be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank in the Clinical Educator Line. The Clinician Educator role is defined by engagement in clinical care and teaching that advances clinical medicine. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
It is expected that candidates are outstanding clinicians with dedication to teaching and mentoring trainees. The ideal candidate will have experience developing a new, interdisciplinary clinical program within an academic medical center.
