Orthopaedic Co-Director of the Spine Center
 

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier healthcare institutions, is conducting a national search for an Orthopaedic CoDirector of the Spine Service.  The Spine Center of excellence at Cedars-Sinai is co-managed by the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Departments of Neuro Surgery.  It is one of the busiest spine programs in the country.   This is an exceptional opportunity for an orthopaedic surgeon interested in an academic leadership position.   Cedars-Sinai is Ranked #8 on the US News and World Report Honor Role for Hospital, and #3 for Orthopaedic Surgery.
 
There is an ACGME approved residency and an established orthopaedic spine fellowship.   We are seeking a clinically active candidate with a demonstrated commitment to research, education, and clinical care.  The candidate should have demonstrated experience as a collaborative academic leader who is able to work well with internal and external colleagues.  
 
Essential Qualifications: 

• An MD or MD/PhD is required. 

• Candidates must have or be eligible for California State medical licensure and be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. 
 
Academic appointment through the Cedars-Sinai professorial series is required and is also available through the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles.  Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a state-of-the-art, 866 bed, tertiary acute care academic medical center is committed to excellence in compassionate patient care, research, education and community programs to improve the lives of our patients.
